Sri Lankan Tea, also known as Ceylon Tea, is one of the finest teas in the world. It’s famous for its strong, bold flavor and is a staple in every Sri Lankan home. Sri Lankan Tea can be enjoyed in various forms, whether black, with milk, or even with a hint of lemon.
Ingredients
2 teaspoons of Ceylon tea leaves (or tea bag)
1 cup water
1/4 cup milk (optional)
2 teaspoons sugar (optional)
1–2 slices of lemon (optional)
Instructions
Boil 1 cup of water in a saucepan or kettle.
If you are using loose tea leaves, add them to a tea infuser or directly into the boiling water. If using a tea bag, place the bag directly in the water.
Let the tea steep for about 3-5 minutes for a strong brew (adjust steeping time based on your preference).
Once brewed, remove the tea infuser or tea bag from the water.
If desired, add milk, sugar, or lemon to taste. Stir to combine.
Pour into a cup, and your Ceylon Tea is ready to be enjoyed!
