Ingredients
2 cups rice flour
1 cup hot water
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp melted butter or ghee
1/2 cup coconut milk (optional, for added flavor)
Curry or sambol (for serving)
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine rice flour and salt.
Slowly add hot water while mixing with a spoon until the dough comes together.
Once the dough is smooth, add melted butter and coconut milk (if using) and knead until well combined.
Fill a string hopper press with the dough and press onto greased trays or steaming baskets in a circular pattern.
Steam the string hoppers for 5–7 minutes until fully cooked and tender.
Serve with your favorite curry or sambol and enjoy!
